Training with SKARS

South Kesteven ARS is a registered RSGB exam centre and can offer help to those wishing to obtain an amateur radio licence or wish to advance.

At SKARS, we believe in nurturing newcomers with one to one training. No need to wait for a course or sit in with multiple people. Work at your own pace. All training is Free of Charge to members of SKARS.

Examinations are held when required and our RSGB registered assessors will even oversee the examination for a single candidate. Konrad-Emery Ford (M0KVF), Darren Eaton (M0PYU), Steve Marsh (M0NMA) and Brian Hiley (M0YBX) are our registered assessors and trainers.

If you wish to take either a Foundation or Intermediate training courses, or if you are self taught and simply wish to apply to sit an exam we can offer this service, just let our Exam Secretary, Steve Marsh (M0NMA), know and we will arrange it (see SKARS Exams for full details).

Note that during lockdown the RSGB has introduced online exams which can be sat from the comfort of your own home, which many will find more convenient.
